Regarding need for fresh survey to reassess the viability of the region for proposed Delhi-Bhiwandi-Neemrana-Manoharpur-Jaipur Railway Project-Laid SHRI RAO RAJENDRA SINGH (JAIPUR RURAL): In 2008, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), first industrial corridor on the backbone of Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) was first formulated, covering an overall length of 1504 km between Delhi and Mumbai. With a financial outlay of Rs. 81,549 Cr. The project was one of the largest railway infrastructure projects that the country had seen. Out of the 5 initial early BIRD projects being contemplated by the ministry, one was Delhi?Bhiwadi-Neemrana-Manoharpur-Jaipur Rail Line (With a speed of 100/200Kmh). After initial clearances, the project could unfortunately not be incorporated under the corridor. Multiple establishments in the area that were burgeoning around this project did not come up as the project. With the economic progress of the region being intertwined with this project, for the development of the region it is essential for the project to materialise. The government should therefore consider a fresh survey of the region in order to reassess the viability of the project in the region.
