Regarding need for investigation into alleged religious intolerance shown against Christian minority in different parts of country- laid ADV. DEAN KURIAKOSE (IDUKKI): I am deeply disturbed by the rising tide of reported violence and intimidation against Indian Christian minority, which undermines the constitutional pillars of religious freedom, equality, and dignity. This orchestrated campaign of hatred threatens the pluralistic fabric of our nation, transforming festive occasions into arenas of fear. Recent Christmas incidents highlight this grim pattern. In Lajpat Nagar of Delhi, right-wing groups verbally assaulted women and children wearing Santa hats. In Chhattisgarh, mobs attacked churches and homes in Kanker, assaulted nuns in Durg, vandalized decorations in Raipur Mall, and banned Christian pastors from villages. Madhya Pradesh saw disruptions at a prayer meeting in Jabalpur Gorakhpur, attended by disabled children. In Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh, a Christmas Eve service was interrupted. Even Kerala witnessed an attack on children caroling in Palakkad, with instruments destroyed. These acts, far from isolated, reveal systemic intolerance. The silence of Government emboldens perpetrators, contradicting "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas." As New Year approached, similar moral policing occurred. I urge immediate Government intervention to investigate these outrages, enforce strict precautions, and safeguard citizens right to practice their faith without fear.
