Regarding need to expedite tender process and construction
of ESI Hospital in Nellore Parliamentary Constituency, Andhra
Pradesh- laid
SHRI PRABHAKAR REDDY VEMIREDDY (NELLORE): Ministry
of Labour & Employment approved to set up 100-bedded ESI
hospital in my Nellore Parliamentary Constituency of Andhra
Pradesh in March, 2019, to provide primary, secondary and tertiary
care medical services, including preventive, promotive, curative
and rehabilitative services, to ESI beneficiaries and their
dependents. After a lot of efforts, land acquisition for this hospital
was completed by GoAP and an additional 1 acre land has also
been acquired and earmarked for staff quarters. This information
was given to concerned officials in the Ministry and the competent
authority also approved the same. Now, the process of issuing
tender, selecting bidder and starting construction of hospital is
pending. The workers and their family members are eagerly
waiting for the hospital to come up. Hence, I appeal to the Hon?ble
Minister of Labour and Employment to kindly look into the issue
and ensure completion of tender process and construction of
hospital.
