Regarding need to set up a Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Thanjavur Parliamentary Constituency, Tamil Nadu-Laid SHRI MURASOLI S. (THANJAVUR) : Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) serve, as a crucial link by demonstrating, assessing, and disseminating new technologies for enhanced farm productivity and sustainability. KVKs focus on practical, localized solutions in specific agro-ecosystems, offering training and resources to rural communities for improved farming practices. I request the Government to kindly open a Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Thanjavur Parliamentary Constituency for the benefit of the farmers of the delta region. The delta region of Tamil Nadu, is known as the rice bowl of Tamil Nadu as paddy is the foremost crop planted and harvested here. Opening a KVK here would definitely help the farmers of the region and will support them in implementing the newly announced National Mission on Natural Farming. I request the Government to kindly consider the proposal and grant sanction on priority for the opening of a KVK in Thanjavur at the earliest.
