Regarding need to set up a Tribal Cultural Academy in Tripura
East Parliamentary Constituency,Tripura-laid
SHRIMATI KRITI DEVI DEBBARMAN (TRIPURA EAST): I wish to
draw attention towards an urgent matter concerning the cultural
preservation and development of the tribal communities in my
Parliamentary Constituency, Tripura East. Tripura is home to 19
communities with rich ancient languages, cultures, and traditions.
Illustrious personalities like S.D. Burman, R.D. Burman, and
Padma Shri awardee Mr. Chandra Jamatia have brought
recognition to our tribal culture nationwide. I urge the Central
Government to establish a ?Tribal Cultural Academy? in Tripura
East. This will promote and showcase tribal culture, literature, and
art globally, providing opportunities for future generations. The
academy will boost socio-economic and cultural development of
tribal communities, enhancing their identity and confidence.
