The Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (RCONF), Gondkhairi, Nagpur, under the
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, organised a one-day Regional
Conference on Natural Farming on March 27, 2026, at the NDRF Academy, Civil Lines, Nagpur.
The programme was organised in collaboration with Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth
(PDKV), Akola (Nagpur Campus).
The conference witnessed participation from farmers, agricultural experts and officials. It aimed
to promote natural farming practices by integrating traditional knowledge with modern
techniques.
Dr Yelokar (PDKV Akola), Dr Ajay Singh Rajput, Regional Director, RCONF Nagpur, Brig R
Satyanarayana, NDRF Nagpur, and Dr Pandurang, Farmer Director, Agriculture Department,
Maharashtra, addressed the gathering and highlighted the benefits of natural farming, including
reduced input costs, improved soil fertility and environmental sustainability.
Experts deliberated on successful models of natural farming, the growing demand for organic
produce and strategies to enhance farmers’ income.Progressive farmers were honoured with the “Best Farmer Award”, including N Ramchandraiah
