be done befbre such supersession, the Central Government hcreby issues the foilowing notificatio-n, namely:-
(.1 ) Schemes lbr setting up of hydro generating stations, involving an estimated capital expenditure exceeding rupees
three thousand crores shall require the concurrence ofthe Central Electricity Authority:
Provided that oltstream closed-loop pumped storage schemes. irrespective of the quantum of capital
expenditure. shall be exempted from the requirement of concurrence by the Authoiity:
Provided also that lbr the schernes lalling under the exempted category. the developer may seek technical
guidance flom the Authority.
(2) The developer referred to in paragraph (l) shall ensure adherence to the provisions ofthe National Dam Safety
