Municipal Council Resolution No.12, dated:23-12-2010 of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. 2. From the Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Letters.No.Rc.EE3-161825/2010, dt:4.3.2011 & 24.12.2011. O R D E R: In the letter 2nd read above, the Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Vijayawada, while enclosing the resolution No.12, dt:23.12.2011 of the council of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, has stated that the existing 450KL GLSR at Gulam Mohiddin Nagar hill area was damaged due to fall of hill rock during heavy rains and cyclone occurred in August 2010. However, water supply is restored temporarily by providing direct pumping lines with booster pumps. He has further stated that, to avoid uneven distribution in water supply and to minimize pumping cost and in order to meet ultimate population needs the council of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, in the reference 1st read above, have resolved for reconstruction of the GLSR with increased capacity of 750 KL at an estimated cost or Rs.87.25 lakhs. Accordingly, the Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, has requested the Government to accord Administrative approval and sanction of Rs.87.25 Lakhs towards Re-construction of 750 KL capacity GLSR in Gulam Mohiddin Nagar, Vijayawada. 2. Government after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord permission for re-construction of 750 KL capacity GLSR in Gulam Mohiddin Nagar, in Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, subject to meeting the estimated expenditure of Rs.87.25 lakhs from the Corporation General Funds. 3. The Commissioner, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation shall take necessary further action in the matter accordingly. 4. This order dose not requires concurrence of the Finance Department, as the proposed expenditure shall be met from the General Funds of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.
