MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (F2) DEPARTMENT G.O.Rt.No.273, Dated the 3rd day of March, 2012. Read :- Note from the Commissioner, GHMC, No.15/P/GHMC/2012. -- o0o -- O R D E R: In the reference 1st read above, the Commissioner, Grater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad has informed that the Government of India has given opportunity to Hyderabad to host the prestigious event of Convention on Bio- Diversity, 2012 (COP-11) in which Ministerial Delegations of more than 190 Countries are expected to participate. It is also expected that some of the Heads of the Nations may also participate in the event. It is going to be prestigious not only for the Government of India but also Government of Andhra Pradesh they host the event in a befitting manner and bring laurels to the Govt. of India for hosting such an event. All efforts are required to be made in the coordinated manner by every stake holder involved, to make the event a grand success. To make prestigious event, a grant success, each stake holder has to put in their special efforts to improve the City Infrastructure and beautification. Several agencies such as R&B, National Highways, APCPDCL, HMWS&SB, HMDA, Tourism and GHMC have to work in tandem while taking up the improvement works in a coordinated manner. Each department shall draw Action Plan duly synchronizing all the works that are required while doing the execution. Accordingly, each Department has to prepare an Action Plan, as only a few months are left, in the run-up to the event. 2. He has further stated that the constitution of a Coordination Committee is essential and suggested that a High Level Coordination Committee headed by Principal Secretary, MA&UD Dept. may be constituted to have a better coordination among all the stake holders involved in the City Infrastructure Improvements and its Beautification. 3. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby constitute a Coordination Committee with the following members for preparation of Action Plan duly synchronizing all the works that are required while doing the execution and to have a better coordination among all the stake holders involved in the City Infrastructure Improvements and its Beautification for the event of Convention on Bio-Diversity, 2012 (COP-11):- (a) Principal Secy. MA&UD - Chairman (b) Commissioner, GHMC - Convenor (c) Managing Director, HMWS&SB - Member (d) Metropolitan Commissioner, HMDA - Member. … 2.-- 2 -- (e) Addl.
