Explanation and WSD of the A.O. dated nil. *** ORDER: Whereas, in the reference first read above, charges were framed against Sri M.A. Rasheed, Deputy Executive Engineer, Ramagundam Municipality under Rule 20 of A.P. Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1991 on allegation of corruption, and he was trapped by ACB officials on 30-4-2009 when he demanded and accepted of bribe amount of Rs.10,000/- from the complainant Sri G. Rajanikanth, contractor for showing official favour of check measuring the work of laying CC roads in the 16th ward in Ramagundam Municipality, and Violation of APCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 directing him to submit his written statement of defence to the articles of charges. 2. And whereas, in the reference 2nd read above, Sri M.A. Rasheed, Deputy Executive Engineer, Ramagundam Municipality has submitted his written statement of defence. 3. Whereas the Government after careful examination of the written statement of defence submitted by the Charged Officer vide reference 2nd read above, have decided to appoint an Enquiry Officer to enquire into the charges framed against Sri M.A. Rahseed, Deputy Executive Engineer, Ramagundam Municipality and appoint Presenting Officer in this case under Rule 20 of A.P. Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1991. 4. Government therefore in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule (2) of Rule 20 of Andhra Pradesh Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1991 hereby appoint Sri K. Ramaiah, Superintending Engineer (PH), Warangal as Enquiry Officer to enquire into the charges framed against the Charged Officer. 5. The Enquiry Officer shall conduct enquiry as per the procedure laid down in A.P. Civil services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1991 and submit the enquiry report within two months from the date of receipt of this order to Government.
