No. 400 Dated:28-03-2012 Read: From the Commissioner, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation Lr.R.C.No.398/CE/SE(WS)/EE-II(WS-M)/ dt.9-2-2012. O R D E R: - In the letter read above, the Commissioner, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam, while enclosing the resolution No.550/2011, dt:9.11.2011 of the council of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, has stated that in A.K.C. Colony of Visakhapatnam about 1000 families are residing and they are not covered with sufficient drinking water and pipe line network. The public are facing water problem, and hence has proposed for construction of 300 KL capacity reservoir (ELSR) 50KL Sump, pump house and laying of 150mm dia DI pumping main at A.K. Corporation in ward No.45, with an estimated cost of Rs.62,65,000/- (as per CSSR 2010-11 ). The proposal was agreed by the Municipal Council, GVMC, vide Council Resolution No.550/2011, dt:9-11-2011 by meeting the expenditure from the General Funds of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. The Commissioner, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam has therefore requested the Government to accord administrative sanction accordingly and also to accord permission to invite tenders to the above work after getting administrative sanction from Government. 2. Government after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord permission for construction of 300 KL capacity reservoir (ELSR) 50KL Sump, pump house and laying of 150mm dia DI pumping main at A.K. Corporation in ward No.45, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, subject to meeting the estimated expenditure of Rs.62,65,000/- (Rupees Sixty Two Lakhs Sixty Five Thousand only) from the Corporation General Funds and also accord permission for floating tenders to the above works accordingly. 3. The Commissioner, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, Visakhapatnam shall take necessary further action in the matter accordingly. 4. This order dose not requires concurrence of the Finance Department, as the proposed expenditure shall be met from the General Funds of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.
