**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 3907, regarding Sambhar Salts Limited, the Ministry of Heavy Industries addressed concerns related to the conservation of Sambhar Lake and the protection of salt traders and industries operating in the area.
The Government of Rajasthan has established the Sambhar Lake Management Agency to oversee the conservation and management of Sambhar Lake. This agency is governed by a governing body chaired by the Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Government of Rajasthan, and an executive body chaired by the Chief Executive Officer & Special Secretary, Environment and Climate Change Department, Government of Rajasthan. The agency has developed a management plan for the lake's effective conservation.
The Ministry clarified that there are no current plans to promote Sambhar Salt Limited on a global platform, nor are there plans to formulate a special policy for the protection of salt traders and industries in the Sambhar Lake area. The rationale is that Sambhar Salts Limited already has a Sales and Discounts Policy in place, which is periodically updated to support and protect these stakeholders.
