W.Con.153/N/95/AK-AOT/20A/190225] हमे ंत कुमार भगोररया, मुख्य इंिीजनयर / जनमािण-V MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (South Central Railway) NOTIFICATION Secunderabad, the 19th February, 2025 S.O. 971(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 20(A) of the Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government being satisfied that the land, the brief description of which is given in the Schedule annexed hereto, is required for public purpose for execution of a special railway project, namely, gauge conversion work between Khandwa-Akola in District Burhanpur in the State of Madhya Pradesh, hereby announces its intention to acquire such land.4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] Any person interested in the said land may, within a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, raise objection to the acquisition and use of such land for the said purpose under sub- section (1) of section 20D of the said Act. Every such objection shall be received by the Competent Authority, Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue) Nepanagar, and District Burhanpur in writing and shall set out the grounds thereof. And the Competent Authority shall give the objector an opportunity of being heard by a legal practitioner in person and may, after hearing all such objections and making such further inquiry, if any, as the Competent Authority may consider necessary, by order either allow or reject the objections. Any order made by the competent authority under sub-section (ii) of section 20(D) of the said Act shall be final. The land plan and other details covered under this notification are available and can be inspected by any interested person at the said office of the competent authority.
