The Pradhan Mantri Dakshata Aur Kushalta Sampann Hitgrahi Yojana (PM-DAKSH) Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme designed to provide skill development training to marginalized communities, including Scheduled Castes (SCs), Other Backward Communities (OBCs), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), De-Notified Tribes (DNTs), and Safai Karamcharis (including Waste Pickers).
The National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) is responsible for training SC beneficiaries, while the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) handles training for OBC/EWS/DNT beneficiaries. The National Safai Karamcharis Finance & Development Corporation (NSKFDC) trains Safai Karamcharis and Waste Pickers.
As of March 11, 2026, a total of 1,87,305 beneficiaries have been trained under the PM-DAKSH Scheme. In the last three years, NSFDC has released ₹72.29 crore and NBCFDC has released ₹64.01 crore for the implementation of these training programs.
The scheme offers employment-oriented training programs that are compliant with the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). Upon completion, trainees receive assistance for placement in wage employment or guidance for self-employment ventures.
