Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) current status of CPSEs under the Ministry including turn-over and profits made in the last three
years;
(b) details of CPSEs under the Ministry that have been privatised or liquified since 2019, the proceeds
made from such transactions including the existing financial status of privatised or liquified entities;
(c) entity-wise number of workers affected due to privatisation or entity being liquified, details of the
provisions made by the Ministry for them; and
(d) whether there are any proposals under consideration to privatise or liquify any CPSE under the
Ministry, the details including the number of workers poised to be affected by such a move?

(a): The Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI) has 16 operational Central Public Sector Enterprises
(CPSEs). The list of these 16 operational CPSEs alongwith details of their turn-over and profits made
in the last three years is at Annexure-I.
(b) & (c): Since 2019, 2 CPSEs namely (a) Bharat Leather Corporation Ltd. and (b) Weighbird
India Ltd. (WIL) and two subsidiary companies of HMT Ltd. namely; HMT Chinar Watches Ltd. and
HMT Bearings Ltd. have been liquidated by official liquidator appointed by the respective Hon’ble
High Court/NCLT. Proceeds from liquidation of these CPSEs have been utilized as per applicable
guidelines / rules by the official liquidator as per the Companies Act 2013.
(d): At present, 15 CPSEs are under liquidation by official liquidator in pursuance to the respective
Hon’ble High Court/Tribunal orders. The list of these 15 CPSEs is at Annexure-II. No regular
manpower exists on the roll of these CPSEs.
