It is hereby informed that in the Tamil Nadu Board of Indian Medicine, as per the announcement made by the Hon'ble Chief Minister in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, “A” Class Registration Certificates were issued with 2D barcode to eliminate bogus certificates. While issuing 2D barcode certificates, old registration numbers issued by the erstwhile Central Board of Indian Medicine from the year 1933 were cancelled and new numbers were given separately for Ayurveda and Unani. As discussed with the Central Council of Indian Medicine officials, the old registration certificates with old registration number will not be valid from 01-01-2017. Likewise, in Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council, the old “A” Class registration certificates issued by the Tamil Nadu Board of Indian Medicine before formation of Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Council in 1998 will not be valid from 01-01-2017.
