Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Digital Mammography Machine
equipped with Tomosynthesis and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Monday, 26 January 2026 at
Homi Bhabha Block. The inauguration was held in the august presence of Additional Chief
Secretary to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra, and Managing
Director, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC), Mrs. Ashwini Bhide, IAS. The
occasion was also graced by Director, Tata Memorial Centre, Dr. Sudeep Gupta; Director,
Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. C. S. Pramesh and Head, Department of Radiodiagnosis,
Tata Memorial Hospital, Dr. Suyash Kulkarni, along with senior faculty members and staff.
Addressing the gathering, Mrs. Ashwini Bhide, appreciated Tata Memorial Hospital’s continued
efforts to strengthen public healthcare. She stated that the newly inaugurated equipment is
dedicated to the service of patients and the larger public good, underscoring the importance of
accessible and high-quality cancer care.
