The Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 12-97-CUSTOMS (N.T.), dated the 2nd April, 1997.
This notification, No. 86/2014-Customs (N.T.), issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, amends Notification No. 1297-Customs (N.T.), dated April 2, 1997. The amendment, made by the Central Board of Excise and Customs in exercise of powers conferred by clause (aa) of subsection (1) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, adds "Modinagar, District Ghaziabad" as a location in Uttar Pradesh authorized for the unloading of imported goods and loading of export goods. The amendment inserts item xiii after item xii in the table associated with the original notification. The responsible Director of Customs is R. P. Singh, and the file number is F. No. 434/242/2010-Cus. IV. The principal notification was published as G.S.R. 193(E), dated April 2, 1997, and last amended by Notification No. 74/2014-Customs (N.T.), dated September 2, 2014, vide number G.S.R 634(E). G.S.R. 672(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (aa) of sub-section (1) of section 7 of
the Customs Act,1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs, hereby makes the following
further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of
Revenue) No. 12/97- CUSTOMS (N.T.), dated the 2nd April, 1997, published in the Gazette of India, vide
number G.S.R. 193(E), dated the 2ndApril, 1997, namely:—
In the said notification, in the Table, against serial number 12 relating to the State of Uttar Pradesh,
after item (xii) and the entries relating thereto, in columns (3) and (4), the following item and the entries shall
respectively be inserted, namely:—

“(xiii) Modinagar, District Ghaziabad Unloading of imported goods and loading of
export goods”.
