NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th July, 2018
S.O. 3924(E).—The Central Government appointed Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pandey as Chief
Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) for a period of three years w.e.f. 28.01.2016 to
27.01.2019 with salary and allowances as admissible to the Secretary to the Government of India under sub-
section (1) of Section 57 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full
Participation) Act, 1995.
2. In the meantime, the aforesaid Act, 1995 has been replaced by the Act called the Rights of Persons
with Disabilities Act, 2016, brought into force from 19.04.2017.
3. Hence, the remaining period of service i.e. from 19.04.2017 to 27.01.2019 and further extension (if
any) of Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pandey as Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD) is regulated
as per sub-section (1) of Section 74 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
