The Central Govt, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, hereby makes the following Order to amend the Electrical Transformers (Quality Control) Order, 2014, This Order may be called the Electrical Transformers (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2014.
This document is the Electrical Transformers Quality Control Amendment Order, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India. It was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Subsection (ii) on November 14, 2014, as S.O. 2917(E).
The order amends the original Electrical Transformers Quality Control Order, 2014, in the following ways:
1. Removes the words "or repairs" from clause (e) of paragraph 2 in the original order.
2. Substitutes the original schedule with a new schedule that lists electrical transformers under mandatory Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. This schedule includes:
* Outdoor type oil-immersed Distribution Transformers up to and including 2500 KVA, 33KV specification, Part 1 (Mineral oil immersed).
* Three-phase ratings up to and including 200 KVA (non-sealed and sealed types) according to IS 1180 (Part 1):2014, ITC HS No. 85043100.
* Three-phase ratings higher than 200 KVA up to and including 2500 KVA (non-sealed and sealed types), ITC HS No. 85043200.
* Single-phase ratings up to and including 25 KVA (sealed type), ITC HS No. 85043300.
* Single-phase ratings up to and including 25 KVA (sealed type), ITC HS No. 85043400.
The order is issued under the powers conferred by section 14 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 (63 of 1986), after consulting with the Bureau of Indian Standards. The amendment came into force on February 1, 2015.
The order was issued with reference number F.No.522009/PE.XI Vol.II and is signed by AMBUJ SHARMA, Additional Secretary. The principal Order was published vide number S.O. 266(E), dated the 27th January, 2014.

New Delhi, the 14th November, 2014
S.O. 2917(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 14 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986
(63 of 1986), the Central Government, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, hereby makes the following Order
to amend the Electrical Transformers (Quality Control) Order , 2014, namely :--
1. (1) This Order may be called the Electrical Transformers (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2014.
(2) It shall come into force on the 1st day of February, 2015.
2. In the Electrical Transformers (Quality Control) Order, 2014,—
(i) in paragraph 2, clause (e), the words “or repairs” shall be omitted;
(ii) for the Schedule, the following Schedule shall be substituted, namely:—
