The Central Govt, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Govt. of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 12-2012-Customs, dated the 17th March, 2012.
This notification, No. 28/2014-Customs, issued by the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, and published in the Gazette of India on September 18, 2014, introduces amendments to Notification No. 12/2012-Customs, dated March 17, 2012. The amendments, enacted under the authority of Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, are deemed necessary in the public interest by the Central Government.
Specifically, the notification includes the following changes:
1. In the Table of the principal notification, against serial number 282, in column 3, in item (y), the figures "500" are substituted with "1000".
2. In the proviso of the principal notification, in clause (bc), the phrase "first day of January, 2015" is replaced with "1st day of April, 2015".

G.S.R. 675(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 25 of the Customs
Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to
do, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the
Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 12/2012-Customs, dated the 17th March, 2012, published in
the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R. 185(E), dated the
17th March, 2012, namely:—
In the said notification,—
(i) in the Table, against serial number 282, in column (3), in item (y), for the figures “500”, the
figures “1000” shall be substituted;
(ii) after the Table, in the proviso, in clause (bc), for the words and figures “first day of January,
2015”, the figures, letters and words “1st day of April, 2015” shall be substituted.
