S.O. 916(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of
Unathorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), the Central Government hereby appoints the officer
mentioned in column (1) of the following Table, being officer of the National Thermal Power Corporation
Limited (NTPC Limited), a statutory authority and equivalent to the rank of gazetted officer of the Government,
to be estate officer for the purposes of the said Act, who shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the
duties imposed on the Estate Officer by or under the said Act, within the local limits of his respective jurisdiction
in respect of the categories of public premises specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said
Table, namely:—
