NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th August, 2014
S.O. 2180 (E). – Whereas, M/s. International Biotech Park Limited, a fully private organization in the State of
Maharashtra, has proposed under section 3 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 (28 of 2005), (hereinafter referred to
as the said Act) to set up a sector specific Special Economic Zone for Biotechnology at village Mann, Taluka Mulshi-
Hinjewadi, District Pune in the State of Maharashtra;
And, Whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of
the said Act read with rule 8 of the Special Economic Zone Rules 2006, had notified an area of 12.87 hectares, at above
Special Economic Zone vide Ministry of Commerce and Industry Notification number S.O. 1328(E) dated 22nd May,
2009;
And, Whereas, M/s. International Biotech Park Limited has now proposed to de-notify 2.299 hectares of the
above Special Economic Zone and the Central Government has granted letter of approval for de-notification of above area
on 29th September, 2011;
And, Whereas, the State Government of Maharashtra has given its “No Objection” to the proposal vide letter No.
SEZ-2011/CR-90/2012/Ind-2 dated 6th September, 2013;
And Whereas, the Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone has recommended the proposal
for de-notification of an area of 2.299 hectares of the Special Economic Zone;
And, Whereas, the Central Government is satisfied that the requirements under sub-section (8) of Section
3 of the said Act and other related requirements are fulfilled;
Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by second proviso to Sub-section (1) of Section 4 of the
Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and in pursuance of rule 8 of the Special Economic Zones Rules, 2006, the Central
Government hereby de-notifies an area of 2.299 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 10.571 hectares, comprising
