The Central Govt. hereby declares each of the highways specified in the column (3) of the Table below to be a national highway, as specified in the corresponding column (2) thereof.
This notification, S.O. 972(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on April 9, 2015, declares specified highways as national highways under Section 2(2) of the National Highways Act, 1956.
The notification adds these highways to the Schedule of the Act, assigning them new serial numbers, national highway numbers, and descriptions, as follows:
1. Serial No. 314: New National Highway No. 148B, described as the highway starting from its junction with new NH No. 48 at Kotputli in Rajasthan, connecting Narnaul, Mahendergarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Hansi, Barwala, Tohana in Haryana, Mansa and terminating at its junction with NH 54 near Bathinda in Punjab.
2. Serial No. 315: New National Highway No. 444A, described as the highway starting from its junction with NH 44 near Ambala connecting Saha and terminating at its junction with NH 44 at Sahabad in Haryana.

The National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) and its schedule have been previously published and amended, as noted in the footnote referencing notifications S.R.O. 1180 (April 4, 1957), S.O. 689(E) (April 4, 2011), and S.O. 132(E) (January 12, 2015).

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 9th April, 2015
S.O. 972(E).—-In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 2 of the National Highways
Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government hereby declares each of the
highways specified in the column (3) of the Table below to be a national highway, as specified in the corresponding
column (2) thereof.
The highways, now declared to be national highways by this notification, shall be deemed to be inserted in the
Schedule to the said Act with the new serial numbers, the new national highways numbers and the description of the
national highways thereof, as indicated in columns (1), (2) and (3) respectively, of the Table.
