Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 23D of the Regional Rural Banks Act, 1976 (21 of 1976), the Central Government hereby directs that with effect from the 1st April, 2014, the Marudhara Gramin Bank and Mewar Aanchalik Gramin Bank, which by reason of amalgamation have ceased to function, shall stand dissolved and this direction shall take effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in section 26 of the said Act.
