NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th February, 2015
S.O. 535(E).—Whereas, the user fee at Arapuzha Bridge at Km. 23/800 in Calicut Bypass on NH 17 in the State of
Kerala is being collected by the State Government of Kerala in accordance with the National Highways (Fees for use of
permanent bridges) Rules, 1997.
And whereas the user fee notification for aforesaid Bridge was also issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways vide S.O. No. B91(E) dated 20.08.2002.
Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 3 of the National Highways Fee(Determination of Rates and
Collection) Rules, 2008 published vide G. S. R. 838(E) dated 5.12.2008, the Central Government hereby exempts at Arapuzha
Bridge at Km.23/800 in Calicut Bypass on NH 17 in the State of Kerala from levy of user fee as the capital cost of the bridge
is recovered and the collection of user fee would not be viable and the monthly revenue through user fee collection would
be less than monthly expenditure for collection of user fee after reducing the user fee to 40% as per G.S.R. 15(E) dated
12.1.2011 and converting the length of the structure into an equivalent length of highway by multiplying by a factor of ten
s per G.S.R. 26(E) dated 16.1.2014.
