The Central Govt. hereby exempts Kosi Bridge in Km. 170-171 on NH No. 74 in the State of Uttarakhand from levy of user fee as the collection of user fee would not be viable as the revenue through user fee collection would be less than expenditure for collection of user fee after reducing the user fee to 40 percent as per G.S.R. 15(E), dated 12.01.2011.
This notification, S.O. 610(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on January 24, 2015, exempts the Kosi Bridge, located at Km. 170-171 on National Highway No. 74 in the State of Uttarakhand, from the levy of user fees. S.O. 610(E).—Whereas the user fee is being collected by the State Government of Uttarakhand at
Kosi Bridge in Km. 170/171 of NH-74 in the State of Uttarakhand.
Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination
of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 published vide G.S.R. 838(E), dated 05.12.2008, the Central
Government hereby exempts Kosi Bridge in Km. 170/171 on National Highway No. 74 in the State of
Uttarakhand from levy of user fee as the collection of user fee would not be viable as the revenue through
user fee collection would be less than expenditure for collection of user fee after reducing the user fee to
40% as per G.S.R. 15(E), dated 12.01.2011 and converting the length of the structure into an equivalent
