The Central Govt hereby makes the following amendment to the notification of the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment published vide number S.O. 89(E), dated the 13th January, 2014.
This notification, S.O. 605(E), issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Social Justice and Empowerment on February 28, 2014, announces an amendment to notification S.O. 89(E) dated January 13, 2014. The amendment, made in exercise of the powers conferred by subsections (1) and (2) of Section 29 of The Prohibition of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013 (No. 25 of 2013), adds "Shri Narayan, Ex-Mayor, Mysore and President, Karnataka State Scavengers Association, Mysore" after item (iv) in paragraph G of the earlier notification. The notification was issued under F. No. 12015/32008-SCD-IV by Sanjeev Kumar, Joint Secretary.
