The Central Govt. hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Govt. of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 689(E), dated, the 4th April, 2011.
This notification, S.O. 1150(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on May 1, 2015, amends the Schedule of the National Highways Act, 1956. Specifically, it substitutes the entry for serial number 49, which pertains to a highway starting from its junction with NH-19 near Kolkata, connecting Kharagpur (West Bengal), Baleshwar and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), Anandapuram, Pendurthi, Anakapalli, Vijaywada, Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), and terminating at its junction with NH-48 near Chennai (Tamil Nadu). This amendment is made in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 2 of Section 2 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956). The original notification regarding the Schedule was published as S.R.O. 1180 on April 4, 1957, and subsequently amended by S.O. 689(E) on April 4, 2011, and S.O. 132(E) on January 12, 2015. S.O. 1150(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 2 of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the
Government of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary,
Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 689(E), dated, the 4th April, 2011, namely:-
In the Schedule, for serial number 49 and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:—-

“49 16 The highway starting from its junction with NH-19 near Kolkata connecting Kharagpur in
the State of West Bengal, Baleshwar and Bhubaneshwar in the State of Orissa,

Pradesh and terminating at its junction with NH-48 near Chennai in the State of
Tamilnadu.’’
