The Central Govt. hereby makes the following further amendment in the notification of the Govt. of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways published in the Gazette of India, Extra-ordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) vide number S.O 689 (E), dated, the 4th April, 2011.
This notification, S.O. 131(E), issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on January 12, 2015, announces an amendment to the schedule of the National Highways Act, 1956. Specifically, it substitutes the entry for serial number 144 in the Schedule. The revised entry designates the highway starting from its junction with NH-44 near Chenani, connecting Sudh Mahadev, Goha, Khelani, Kishtwar, Sinthan pass, and terminating at its junction with NH-44 near Khanabal in the State of Jammu and Kashmir, as a national highway. This amendment is issued in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 2 of Section 2 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956).
