(1) These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (Third Amendment) Rules, 2015. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, in rule 4, for the portion beginning with the words “attested by a Gazetted Officer of the Central Government” and ending with the words “Municipal Corporation Councilor or Panchayat President”, the words “self attested” shall be substituted.
