NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th April, 2014
S.O. 1187(E).—Whereas, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section
(3) of Section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), constituted an Authority, namely, the
Loss of Ecology (Prevention and Payments of Compensation) Authority for the State of Tamil Nadu vide
notification number S.O. 671(E), dated the 30th September, 1996; and
Whereas, Hon’ble Justice P. Bhaskaran who was appointed as Chairperson of the above mentioned
Authority vide notification number S.O. 710(E), dated the 12th October, 1996 and has requested for being
relieved from the said Post of Chairperson; and
Whereas, the Government has considered the request of Hon’ble Justice P. Bhaskaran for being
relieved from the said post;
Now, therefore, the Central Government hereby relieves Hon’ble Justice P. Bhaskaran from the post
of Chairperson, Loss of Ecology (Prevention and Payments of Compensation) Authority with effect from
30th April, 2014 (forenoon).
