The Election Commission of India hereby designates, in consultation with the State Govt. of Meghalaya, the officer of the Govt. specified in column 2 of the Table below, as Assistant Returning Officer for the Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Meghalaya, as specified in column 1 of the said Table against such officer of the Govt.
This notification from the Election Commission of India, dated April 22, 2014, designates additional Assistant Returning Officers for the Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Meghalaya. The notification, numbered O.N. 112(E), is issued in exercise of the power conferred by Sub-Section 1 of Section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
In consultation with the State Government of Meghalaya, the Election Commission designates the following officers as Assistant Returning Officers for the 2 Tura (ST) Parliamentary Constituency: Extra Assistant Commissioner III, Tura; Extra Assistant Commissioner IV, Tura; and Extra Assistant Commissioner VII, Tura. These officers will cease to function as Assistant Returning Officers immediately after the completion of the vote counting process for the General Election to the Lok Sabha, 2014. The notification is in addition to officers designated in Notification No. 434MEG-HP/2014/2, dated March 26, 2014.
