The Election Commission of India hereby designates, in consultation with the State Govt. of Mizoram, following officers as Assistant Returning Officers to assist the Returning Officer of Mizoram (ST) Parliamentary Constituency for counting.
This notification, issued by the Election Commission of India on April 15, 2014, designates Assistant Returning Officers for the Mizoram Scheduled Tribe (ST) Parliamentary Constituency. This action is taken in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section 1 of Section 22 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and in addition to Notification No. 434/MIZ-HP/2014/1 dated March 14, 2014. The designation is made in consultation with the State Government of Mizoram, to assist the Returning Officer in the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha general election 2014.
The designated officers and their respective departments are:
1. Deputy Secretary, R.D. Department
2. Secretary, Aizawl Municipal Council
3. District Civil Supply Officer, E.FCS & CA Department
4. Settlement Officer, District Revenue, LR & S Department
5. Under Secretary, General Administration Department
These officers will cease to function as Assistant Returning Officers immediately after the completion of the vote counting process for the 2014 Lok Sabha general election.
The notification is issued under the order of Narendra N. Butolia, Secretary, Election Commission of India.
