New Delhi, the 2nd April, 2014
O.N. 87(E).—Whereas, the Election Commission of India by its Notification No. 464/2014 (3A),
dated 15th March, 2014 issued under Section 30 read with Section 56 of the Representation of the People Act,
1951 (43 of 1951) has fixed ‘Hours of Poll’ as 7.00 AM to 4.00 PM for all assembly constituencies comprised
in 10-Bastar Parliamentary Constituency except the 86-Jagdalpur assembly constituency where it has been
fixed as 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM in the State of Chhattisgarh; and
Whereas. after considering the report of Chief Electoral Officer. Chhattisgarh and taking into account
all other material circumstances including the Law and Order scenario, the Election Commission of India has
decided to change the hours of poll in the aforesaid Parliamentary Constituency in the State of Chhattisgarh;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 56 of the Representation of the People
Act, 1951 read with Section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), the Election Commission of
India hereby makes the following amendment in its Notification No. 464/2014 (3A), dated 15th March, 2014
