New Delhi, the 28th April, 2014
O.N. 117(E).—Whereas, the Election Commission of India by its Notification No. 464/2014 (7)
dated 2nd April, 2014 issued under Section 30 read with Section 56 of the Representation of the People Act,
1951 (43 of 1951) has fixed “Hours of Poll” in respect of 2-Srinagar Parliamentary Constituency in the State
of Jammu & Kashmir from 7.00 AM to 6.00 PM on 30th April, 2014, and
Whereas, after considering the report of Chief Electoral Officer, Jammu & Kashmir and taking into
account all other material circumstances including the Law and Order scenario, the Election Commission of
India has decided to change the hours of poll in the aforesaid Parliamentary Constituency in the State of
Jammu & Kashmir:
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 56 of the Representation of the People
Act, 1951 read with Section 21 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 (10 of 1897), the Election Commission of
India hereby makes the following amendment in its Notification No. 464/2014 (7) dated 2nd April, 2014,
referred to above namely:—
