ii) जचदक सा प्रमाणपत्र म ें प्रपत्र 1क म ें जनम्नजलजखत िब्ि और आंकड़े, "3 (ख) क्या आवेिक आपके जववेक का सवगश्रेष्ठ रूप स े
वणगक रंगों, लाल और हरे रंग म ें आसानी से अंतर कर सकता ह ै हां / नहीं?" का लोप दकया िाएगा।
iii) जचदक सा संबंधी स्ट् वस्ट् ् यता प्रमाणपत्र म,ें प्रपत्र 1क म ेंक्रम संख्य ा (iv) के बाि, जनम्नजलजखत क्रम संख्य ा और िब्ि

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th March, 2020
G.S.R 176(E).—The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989,
which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 27 of the Motor
Vehicles Act, 1988 ( 59 of 1988) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 212 of the said Act for
information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken
into consideration after the expiry of a period of 30 days from the date on which the copies of this notification as
published in the Gazette of India, are made available to the public.
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before
the expiry of the period aforesaid will be considered by the Central Government;

DRAFT RULES
1. Short title and commencement. -(1) These rules may be called as the Central Motor Vehicles (……… Amendment)
Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989 (herein after referred as the said rules).[भाग II—खण् ड 3(i)] भारत का रािपत्र : असाधारण 3
i) In FORM 1, in the declaration, the following words and figures, “(d) Can you readily distinguish the pigmentary
colours, red and green Yes/No?” shall be omitted.
ii) In FORM 1 A, in the Medical Certificate, the following words and figures, “3(b) Can the applicant to the best of
your judgment readily distinguish the pigmentary colours, red and green Yes/No?” shall be omitted.
iii) In FORM 1 A, in the Certificate of Medical Fitness, after the serial number (iv), the following serial number and
words shall be inserted, namely:-
“(v) Applicant’s colour vision has been tested using standard ishihara chart and the applicant has not been found
suffering from severe or total colour blindness.”
