The Foreign Trade Policy 2015 2020 the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Appendix 3B of MEIS issued earlier by this Directorate and amended from time to time.

Eligibility Period: Exports from April 1, 2015, to June 30, 2018, are eligible for MEIS benefits under any HS Code of 2012-2017.
Post-July 1, 2018 Exports: Only eligible under Serial Numbers 8019 and 8020 of Table 2, Appendix 3B.

Subject : Eligibility of Indian Mackerel under Table 2 of Appendix 3B of Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20.
F. No. 01/61/180/227/AM17/PC-3.—In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 1.03 of the Foreign Trade
Policy 2015-2020, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Appendix 3B
of MEIS, issued earlier by this Directorate, and amended from time to time.
2. The following items are incorporated in the Appendix 3B, Table 2

3. These two MEIS SI Nos. are also added in the Annexure to the Public Notice 62 dated 16.02.2018 w.e.f. 01.07.2018.
The benefits would be granted under MEIS only if the description of these export items in the Shipping Bill is as per the
description in Table 2 to Appendix 3B.
4. Indian Mackerel (species Rastrelliger Kanagurta) exported under any HS Code in Chapter 03 of the ITC HS 2012/
2017 is eligible for MEIS incentive at the rate of 5% (for exports during the period 01.04.2015 to 31.10.2017) and 7%
(for exports during the period 01.11.2017 to 30.06.2018).
Effect of Public Notice : Indian Mackerel export under any HS Code of 2012/2017 is eligible for MEIS benefit for
exports made during the period 01.04.2015 to 30.06.2018. For exports made on or after 01.07.2018, Indian mackerel is
eligible for MEIS benefits only under Serial No. 8019 and 8020 of the Table 2 of Appendix 3B-MEIS Schedule.
