NOTIFICATION
Whereas the draft of the Karnataka Excise Services (Recruitment) Rules,
1996, was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the
Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) in Notification
No. FD 51 EAA 2022, dated:28-03-2023 in Part-IVA of the Karnataka Gazette
No.6822, dated:26.04.2023 inviting objections and suggestions from all persons
likely to be affected within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official
Gazette.
And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on
26.04.2023.
And, whereas objections and suggestions received in respect of the said draft
by the State Government have been considered.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the
Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990) the
Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
RULES
1. Title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka
Excise Services (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2023.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their final publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of schedule.- In the schedule to the Karnataka Excise
Services (Recruitment) Rules, 1996,-
(1) for the category of post of ‘Excise Head Guard’ in serial number 16 and
entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
