NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (2) and (3) of Article 166 of Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules,1977, namely :- 1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) (Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Schedule XIII. - In the Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules),in SCHEDULE XIII,- (i) for the heading “PUBLIC WORKS, PORTS AND INLAND WATER TRANSPORT DEPARTMENT” the heading “PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT” shall be substituted; (ii) u nder the sub heading A. Communication and Buildings, item 5 and 5A and the entries relating thereto shall be omitted; and (iii) under the sub heading C. Recruitment Rules and appointments” in item 1, for the words “Public Works, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department” the words “Public Works Department” shall be substituted. (1)R.N.I. Amendment of Schedule XXIII. - In SCHEDULE XXIII to the said rules, after the sub heading “A. Infrastructure Development”, the following shall be inserted, namely:- “AA.
