(cid:315)ಶೇಷ ರಾಜಯ್ ಪತಿರ್ಕೆ ¨sÁUÀ – 4J (cid:88)ಂೆ ಗಳೂರು, ಸೋಮವಾರ,21,ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್, 2020(ಮಾಗರ್(cid:316)ರ, 30, ಶಕವಷ೵ ೧೯೪2) ನಂ. 712 Part – IVA Bengaluru, MONDAY,21,DECEMBER,2020(MARGASHIRA,30, ShakaVarsha 1942) No. 712 Government of Karnataka No. DPAR 15 ARB 2020 Karnataka Government Secretariat, Vidhana Soudha, Bengaluru, dated:21.12.2020 NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (2) and (3) of Article 166 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Government (Transaction of Business) Rules, 1977, namely:- 1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Government (Transaction of Business) (Amendment) Rules, 2020. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Amendment of rule 6.- In the Karnataka Government (Transaction of Business) Rules, 1977 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 6,- (i) in sub-rule (2),- (a) for the words "brought to his personal notice", the words "submitted for orders", shall be substituted; (b) after the words "such standing orders", the words "orders delegating powers", shall be inserted; and (ii) after sub-rule (2), the following shall be inserted, namely:- "(3) A Minister may by order delegate any of his powers to the secretary of the department" (1)R.N.I. Amendment of rule 17.- In rule 17 of the said rules, in sub-rule (2) the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:- "Provided that, where the Finance Department has not given its concurrence but the administrative department intends to proceed with the case and decides to place it before the cabinet, such proposals shall invariably be sent to Finance Department for perusal before submitting it to the Secretary to Cabinet." 4. Amendment of rule 27.- In rule 27 of the said rules, in sub-rule (2),- (i) for the word "giving", the word "containing", shall be Substituted; and (ii) the words and figures "as have not been already circulated under rule 26", shall be omitted. (iii) After sub-rule (2) the following proviso shall be inserted. “Provided that once an Agenda paper containing the cases to be discussed at the meeting of the cabinet is issued by the Secretary to Cabinet with the approval of the Chief Minister and sent to the members of Council of Ministers, no subject shall be included in additional Agenda unless the concerned Secretary submits a note explaining the urgency for placing it before the meeting and the Chief Minister approves the same in writing for inclusion in the additional Agenda.” Sd/- (VAJUBHAI VALA) GOVERNOR OF KARNATAKA By Order and in the name of the Governor of Karnataka (Chandrahas G.
