NOTIFICATION
Whereas the draft of the Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation of
Transfer of Medical Officers and other Staff) (Amendment) Rules, 2024 was
published as required by section 12 of the Karnataka State Civil Services
(Regulation of transfer of Medical Officers and other staff) Act, 2011 (Karnataka Act
2 of 2011) vide Notification No. HFW 796 HSH 2024, dated : 03/08/2024 in Part
IVA of the Karnataka Gazette extra-ordinary, dated : 03/08/2024, inviting
objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected within seven days
from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on
03/08/2024.
And, whereas objections and suggestions are received in respect of the said
draft have been considered by the State Government.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of
section 12 of the Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Medical
Officers and other staff) Act, 2011 (Karnataka Act 2 of 2011) the Government of
Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely :-

RULES
1. Title and Commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Karnataka
State Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Medical Officers and other staff)
(Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the
Official Gazette.
2. Amendment of rule 11.- In the Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation
of transfer of Medical officers and other staff) Rules, 2011, in rule 11, for sub-rule
(6), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“(6) The total number of transfers in public interest in a year, shall not exceed
fifteen percent of the working strength in the respective cadre. The total number of
transfers for the categories which comes under rule (6) shall not exceed five percent
of the working strength in the respective cadre.”
