S.O. 2214(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (a) of Section 3 of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby authorizes the Additional District Magistrate (LA), Malda as the
competent authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Act with effect from the date of
publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in respect of “Construction of 3 (three) nos. of Bypasses, viz.(i)
Samsi Bypass from 19.205 km. to 21.771 km. (ii) Malatipur Bypass from 22.700 km. to 28.354 km. and (iii) Chanchal
Bypass from 29.678 km. to 34.900 km of NH-81 in the District of Malda, West Bengal” as specified in the schedule
given below.
