Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Railway Board Junior Translator and Senior Translator Recruitment Rules, 2014. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Definitions.— In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,— (a) “Controlling Authority” in relation to any grade means the authority empowered under the provisions of the Indian Railway Establishment Code Volume I, to make appointment to the grade; (b) “grade” means the grade of Junior Translator or Senior Translator; 3. Number of posts, classification and the pay band and grade pay or pay scale.— The number of posts, their classification, pay band and grade pay or pay scale attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these rules. 4.
