करने के िलए िन(cid:10) निलिखत िविनयम बनाती ह,ै अथा(cid:23)त ् : --
1. (1) इन िविनयम1 का संिBC त नाम भारतीय मानक (cid:19)य ूरो (सलाहकार सिमितय;) संशोधन िविनयम, 2014 ह ै।
(2) य े राजपI म< -काशन क(cid:22) तारीख से -वृ.त ह1गे ।
2. भारतीय मानक (cid:19) यूरो (सलाहकार सिमितय;) िविनयम, 1987 के िनयम 3 म,< -
(क) उप-िविनयम (1) के, खंड (छ) के बाद, िन(cid:10)न िलिखत खंड1 को जोड़ा जाए, अथा(cid:23)त् : --
(ज) -िशBण सलाहकार सिमित – यह िन(cid:10)न िलिखत से संबM मामल1 म< सलाह दगे ी :
(i) आयोिजत (cid:4)कए जाने वाल े -िशBण के -कार;
(ii) -िश Bण का पाOPम;

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 21st November, 2014
G.S.R. 832(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 1 read with clause (a) of sub-
section (2) of Section 38 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986, (63 of 1986), the Executive Committee
of the Bureau of Indian Standards, with the previous approval of the Central Government hereby makes the
following regulations further to amend the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committees) Regulations,
1987, namely:-
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committees)
Amendment Regulations, 2014.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Bureau of Indian Standards (Advisory Committees) Regulations, 1987, in regulation 3, -
(a) in sub-regulation (1), after clause (g), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-
(h) Training Advisory Committee. - It shall advise on matters relating to
(i) types of training to be conducted;
(ii) curriculum of training;
(iii) training methodology;
(iv) any other matter relating thereto;
(i) Trade Facilitation Advisory Committee. – It shall advise on matters relating to -
(i) Interaction with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and other Departments of the
Government with focus on export oriented product sectors;
(ii) Interaction with Industry and Exporters’ Associations to address bottlenecks being faced
by them relating to standards and conformity assessment procedures;
(iii) Entering into Mutual Recognition Agreements or Memorandum of Understanding in
areas of standards and conformity assessment procedures for removing any obstacles
affecting trade;
(iv) Sensitization of stakeholders about need for examining World Trade Organization –
Technical Barriers to Trade notifications of other countries/or importance of raising trade
concerns of India in World Trade Organization – Technical Barriers to Trade meetings;
(v) Any other matters regarding trade facilitation.
(b) In sub-regulation (2), in clause (b), in sub-clause (ii), for the word “six” the word “nine” shall be
substituted;
(c) In sub-regulation (2), in clause (d), in sub-clause (ii), for the word “six” the word “nine”
shall be substituted;
(d) In sub-regulation (2) after clause (f), the following clauses shall be inserted, namely:-
“(g) Training Advisory Committee
(i) a Chairperson,
(ii) nine other members
(h) Trade Facilitation Advisory Committee

(ii) nine other members”
(e) In sub-regulation (6), for the words “making an appointment from amongst the members of the
Bureau”, the words “appointing suitable person” shall be substituted;
(f) In sub-regulation (10) after the words “for the meeting”, the words “which shall include such
matter as may be referred to the Advisory Committee by the Bureau or Executive Committee or
Director General,”, shall be inserted.
