NOTIFICATION
Gurgaon, the 21st January, 2015
No. JERC-7/2009.—In exercise of powers conferred under Section 181 read with Sections 87 and 88 of the
Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, and after previous publication, the Joint
Electricity Regulatory Commission (for the State of Goa and Union Territories), hereby makes the following
amendments to the Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for the State of Goa and Union Territories (State Advisory
Committee) Regulations, 2009.
1. Short title and commencement:
1. These Regulations may be called The Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission for Goa & Union Territories
(State Advisory Committee) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2015.
2. These Regulations shall come into force from the date of their publication in Official Gazette.
3. These Regulations shall be applicable in the State of Goa and the Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar
Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
2. Amendment in Regulations 5, 6 and 7:
(i) Regulation 7 is renumbered as Regulation 5. Consequently Regulations 5 and 6 are renumbered as Regulation 6
and 7 respectively.
(ii) Following is inserted after the word notice, in renumbered Regulation 5:—
“Or the post of the Chairperson is vacant.”
(iii) The word three is substituted by the word “Six” in renumbered Regulation 7(1).
3. Amendment in Regulation 8
(i) Regulation 8 (2) is renumbered as Regulation 8 (3) and Regulation 8 (3) is renumbered as Regulation 8 (2).
(ii) Following Regulation 8 (4) is added:—
Outstation Members of the Committee other than Government servants coming for attending the meetings of
the Committee shall be allowed travel by Air or Rail as per Government of India instructions issued from time
to time.
4. Amendment in Regulation 10 (1)
The words ‘Seven Members’ is substituted by ‘one third of the existing members’ in Regulation 10 (1).
5. Amendment in Regulation 14
Following is added at the end of Explanation:
Or by e-mail or by fax.
