सं. ई-12011/1/2024-हिन् िी—इस मंत्रालय के दिनांक 13 अप्रलै , 2022 के संकल्प सं. ई-12011/1/2019-हिन् िी का अहिक्रमण
करते हुए भारत सरकार न ेखान मंत्रालय की हिन् िी सलािकार सहमहत का हनम्न प्रकार स ेपनु र्गठन करने का हनणगय हलया िै। इस सहमहत का र्ठन,

(II) कायग
इस सहमहत का कायग, संहविान में राजभाषा के संबिं में हनहित हवहभन्न प्राविानों, राजभाषा अहिहनयम, हनयमों, केंरीय हिन् िी
सहमहत के हनणगयों तथा र्ति मत्रं ालय (राजभाषा हवभार्) द्वारा इस बारे में जारी हनिेशों के कायागन्वयन में खान मत्रं ालय को सलाि
िेना िै।
(III) कायग-काल
इस सहमहत का कायगकाल इसके पुनर्गठन की तारीख से सामान्यत: तीन वषग का िोर्ा, बशते दक–
(क) सहमहत में नामजि संसि सिस्य जैस ेिी संसि सिस्य निीं रिेंर्,े इस सहमहत के सिस्य भी निीं रिेंर्े।
(ख) सहमहत के पिने सिस्य उस समय तक सिस्य बने रिर्ें े जब तक दक वे उन पिों पर आरूढ़ िैं हजन पर िोने के कारण वे सहमहत
के सिस्य िैं।
(र्) यदि दकसी सिस्य के त्यार्-पत्र अथवा मतत्यु आदि के कारण सहमहत म ेंकोई स्थान ररक्त िोता िै तो उसके स्थान पर हनयुक्त
सिस्य सहमहत के कायगकाल की शषे अवहि के हलए सिस्य िोर्ा।
(IV) सामान्य
सहमहत का प्रिान कायागलय, नई दिल्ली में िोर्ा, लेदकन सहमहत अपनी बैठकें दकसी अन्य नर्र, यदि ऐसा अपेहक्षत िों, में भी कर
सकती िै।
(V) यात्रा एव ंअन्य भत्ते
(क) सहमहत में नाहमत सांसिों को “संसि सिस्य (वेतन, भत्ता एव ं पशें न) अहिहनयम, 1954” के प्राविानों एव ं समय-समय पर
जारी दकए र्ए सशं ोिनों तथा उनके अिीन बनाए र्ए हनयमों के अनसु ार यात्रा भत्ता तथा िैहनक भत्ता दिया जाएर्ा।
(ख) सहमहत के अन्य र्ैर-सरकारी सिस्यों को राजभाषा हवभार् के दिनांक 22 जनवरी, 1987 के कायागलय ज्ञापन
सं. II/22034/04/86-रा.भा. (क-2) म ेंहनहित दिशा-हनिशे ों के अनुरूप और भारत सरकार द्वारा समय-समय पर सशं ोहित

आिेश दिया जाता िै दक इस संकल्प की एक-एक प्रहत सभी राज्य सरकारों और संघ शाहसत प्रिेशों के प्रशासनों, राष्ट्रपहत
सहचवालय, उपराष्ट्रपहत सहचवालय, प्रिानमत्रं ी कायागलय, मंहत्रमंडल सहचवालय, संसिीय काय ग मत्रं ालय, लोक सभा सहचवालय, राज्य सभा
सहचवालय, नीहत आयोर्, भारत के हनयंत्रक एवं मिालखे ा परीक्षक, मिालेखाकार, केंरीय राजस्व, संसिीय राजभाषा सहमहत और भारत सरकार
के सभी मंत्रालयों और हवभार्ों को भेजी जाए।
यि भी आिशे दिया जाता िै दक सकं ल्प को सवगसािारण की जानकारी के हलए भारत के राजपत्र म ेंप्रकाहशत दकया जाए।

र्ोसवंिपुरा, येलिंका, बेंर्लुरु में एक ऑफ-कैंपस केंर स्थाहपत करन ेके हलए यजू ीसी पोटलग पर एक ऑनलाइन आवेिन दकया ि:ै —
i. हनट्ट ेमीनाक्षी इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्न ोलॉजी, येलिकं ा, बेंर्लुरु;
ii. हनट्ट ेस्कूल ऑफ आर्कगटेक्चर, प्लासनर्ं एंड हडजाइन, बेंर्लुरु;
iii. हनट्ट ेकॉलजे ऑफ फामागस्युरटकल साइंसेज, बेंर्लुरु;
iv. हनट्ट ेस्कूल ऑफ फैशन टक्े नोलॉजी एंड इंटीररयर हडजाइन, बेंर्लुरु; और
v. हनट्ट ेशकं र आद्यातं य मेमोररयल फस्टग ग्रेड कॉलजे , बेंर्लुरु।
2. और जबदक, यूजीसी की सलाि पर, मत्रं ालय न े र्ोसवंिपुरा, र्ोल्लािल्ली, यले िंका, बेंर्लुरु म ें ऑफ कैंपस केंर शुरू करन े से पिले
कुछ शतों को पूरा करने िते ु दिनांक 10.10.2024 को हनट्ट े (सम हवश्वहवद्यालय संस्थान), मैंर्लोर, कनागटक को आशय पत्र (एलओआई) जारी
दकया।
3. और इसके अहतररक् त जबदक, आशय पत्र की शतों की पूर्त गके सबं ंि में सस्ं थान की अनुपालन ररपोटग को यूजीसी द्वारा अपनी स्थायी
सहमहत के माध्यम से सत्याहपत और स्वीकार दकया र्या।
4. अब इसहलए, यजू ीसी अहिहनयम, 1956 की िारा 3 के तित प्रित्त शहक्तयों का उपयोर् करत े हुए, हशक्षा मत्रं ालय, यूजीसी की
सलाि पर एतिद्वारा हनट्ट े(सम हवश्वहवद्यालय), मैंर्लोर, कनागटक को इस शत गके साथ उपयुगक्त पांच संबद्ध कॉलेजों को अहिग्रहित करके र्ोसवंिपुरा,
र्ोल्लािल्ली, येलिांका, बेंर्लुरु म ें एक ऑफ-कैंपस केंर शुरू करन े िते ु अनुमोिन िेता ि ै दक सम हवश्वहवद्यालय बेंर्लुरु ऑफ-कैंपस में छात्रों को
प्रवेश िेन ेसे पूवग 25 करोड़ रु. की अपेहक्षत कॉपगस हनहि के हलए िस्तावेजी साक्ष्य प्रस्तुत करेर्ा।
5. हनट्ट े(सम हवश्वहवद्यालय), मर्ैं लोर, कनागटक इस मंत्रालय की पूव गअहिसूचना(ओं) में उहल्लहखत अन्य सभी शतों के साथ-साथ समय-
समय पर जारी यूजीसी और अन्य सांहवहिक पररषिों के हनयमों/हवहनयमों के प्राविानों का अनुपालन करेर्ा।

सं. 9-5/2021-यू.3(ए)—जबदक, केन्र सरकार को हवश्वहवद्यालय अनुिान आयोर् (यूजीसी) अहिहनयम, 1956 की िारा 3 के तित
यूजीसी की सलाि पर दकसी उच्चतर हशक्षा संस्थान को सम हवश्वहवद्यालय सस्ं थान घोहषत करने का अहिकार प्राप्त िै।
2. और जबदक, यूजीसी अहिहनयम, 1956 की िारा 3 के तित केन्रीय हिन् िी संस्थान (केएचएस), आर्रा, उत्तर प्रिशे को हवहशष्ट
श्रेणी के अंतर्तग सम हवश्वहवद्यालय संस्थान का िजाग प्रिान करन ेके हलए यूजीसी के पोटगल पर ऑनलाइन आवेिन अपलोड दकया र्या।
3. और जबदक, यजू ीसी ने दिनांक 15.11.2023 के अपने पत्र संख्या 43-1/2021 (सीपीपी-आई/डीयू) के माध्यम से सूहचत दकया दक
आवेिन की जांच यूजीसी (सम हवश्वहवद्यालय सस्ं थान) हवहनयम 2023 के अनुसार अपनी हवशषे ज्ञ सहमहत द्वारा की र्ई थी। सहमहत न ेकुछ शतों
को पूरा करन े के हलए केएचएस, आर्रा को आशय पत्र (एलओआई) जारी करने की हसफाररश की। यूजीसी हवशषे ज्ञ सहमहत की हसफाररश पर
आयोर् द्वारा दिनांक 03.11.2023 को हुई अपनी 574वीं बैठक (मि संख्या 2.07) में हवचार दकया र्या और उसे अनुमोदित दकया र्या ।288 Hkkjr dk jkti=] ebZ 17] 2025 ¼oS'kk[k 27] 1947½ [Hkkx I—[k.M 1
4. और जबदक, हशक्षा मत्रं ालय ने यजू ीसी की सलाि पर केएचएस, आर्रा, उत्तर प्रिेश को एक सम हवश्वहवद्यालय सस्ं थान के रूप में
घोहषत करने से पिल ेतीन वष गकी अवहि के भीतर कुछ शतों को पूरा करने के हलए आशय पत्र (एलओआई) जारी दकया था।
5. और आर्े, जबदक हनिशे क, केएचएस, आर्रा, उत्तर प्रिेश ने दिनाकं 10.12.2024 के अपन ेपत्र के माध्यम स,े आशय पत्र की शतों
की अनुपालन ररपोटग प्रस्ततु की, हजसे सत्यापन और सलाि के हलए यजू ीसी को भेजा र्या। यूजीसी ने अनपु ालन ररपोटग उसी हवशषे ज्ञ सहमहत के
समक्ष रखी हजसने आशय पत्र (एलओआई) जारी करने की हसफाररश की थी। हवशेषज्ञ सहमहत ने संस्थान की अनपु ालन ररपोटग को स्वीकार कर
हलया। यजू ीसी हवशषे ज्ञ सहमहत की हसफाररश पर आयोर् न े दिनांक 03.04.2025 को हुई अपनी 589वीं बैठक (मि संख्या 2.09) म ें हवचार
दकया और उसे अनमु ोदित दकया ।
6. अब, इसहलए, यूजीसी अहिहनयम, 1956 की िारा 3 के तित प्रित्त शहक्तयों का उपयोर् करते हुए, हशक्षा मत्रं ालय, यूजीसी की
सलाि पर, एति द्वारा केंरीय हिन् िी संस्थान (केएचएस), आर्रा, उत्तर प्रिेश को एक हवहशष्ट श्रेणी के तित एक सम हवश्वहवद्यालय सस्ं थान घोहषत

या हनहियों/राजस्व का कोई अन्यत्र उपयोर् निीं दकया जाएर्ा।
ii. केएचएस, आर्रा दकसी भी ऐसी र्हतहवहि में शाहमल निीं िोर्ा जो वाहणहज्यक और लाभ कमान ेवाली प्रकतहत की िो।
iii. केएचएस, आर्रा म ें संचाहलत दकए जान े वाल े शैक्षहणक कायगक्रम यूजीसी और सबं ंहित सांहवहिक पररषिों/हनकायों द्वारा
हनिागररत मानिंडों और मानकों के अनुरूप िोंर्े।
iv. केएचएस, आर्रा समय-समय पर यजू ीसी द्वारा उक्त हवषय पर जारी मानिंडों और दिशा-हनिेशों के अनुसार िी नए शक्षै हणक
पाठ्यक्रम/कायगक्रम, ऑफ-कैंपस, ऑफ-शोर कैंपस शुरू करेर्ा।
v. केएचएस, आर्रा शोि कायगक्रमों के साथ-साथ डॉक्टरेट और नवीन शक्षै हणक कायगक्रम शुरू करने के हलए उहचत किम उठाएर्ा।
संस्थान केवल वतमग ान में नए उभरते क्षेत्रों तक िी सीहमत निीं रिर्े ा, बहल्क यजू ीसी हवहनयमों/दिशा-हनिेशों के साथ-साथ
राष्ट्रीय हशक्षा नीहत-2020 के अनुसार अन्य क्षत्रे ों म ेंभी हवस्तार करने का प्रयास करेर्ा।
vi. केएचएस, आर्रा सभी पात्र शक्षै हणक पाठ्यक्रमों/कायगक्रमों को राष्ट्रीय प्रत्यायन बोडग (एनबीए) द्वारा वैि मान्यता के हलए
मूल्यांदकत करान े और संस्थान को समय-समय पर सशं ोहित यूजीसी (सम हवश्वहवद्यालय संस्थान) हवहनयम, 2023 म ें हनहित
प्राविानों के अनुसार, जैसा भी मामला िो, राष्ट्रीय मूल्यांकन और प्रत्यायन पररषि (एनएएसी) द्वारा वैि मान्यता प्राप्त करन ेके
हलए सभी आवश्यक किम उठाएर्ा।
vii. छात्रों के प्रवशे , छात्रों की प्रवशे क्षमता, शैक्षहणक पाठ्यक्रम/कायगक्रम के अनुमोिन के नवीनीकरण, छात्रों की प्रवशे क्षमता में
संशोिन, नए पाठ्यक्रम/कायगक्रम शुरू करने आदि के मामले में संबंहित वैिाहनक पररषिों के सभी हनिागररत मानिंड और प्रदक्रयाए ं
लार्ू रिेंर्ी और केएचएस, आर्रा द्वारा उनका पालन दकया जाएर्ा।
viii. केएचएस, आर्रा यजू ीसी (सम हवश्वहवद्यालय सस्ं थान) हवहनयम, 2023 के प्राविानों के अनुसार शीघ्र यजू ीसी/हशक्षा मत्रं ालय
को अपना संशोहित संर्म ज्ञापन (एमओए)/हनयमवाली प्रस्ततु करेर्ा। जब भी आवश्यक िो, संस्थान मौजूिा हवहनयमों के
प्राविानों के अनुसार अपने एमओए/हनयमों को अद्यहतत या सशं ोहित या पररवर्ततग करेर्ा।
ix. केएचएस, आर्रा यूजीसी और संबंहित विै ाहनक पररषिों के हनयमों और हवहनयमों के अनुसार शुल्क संरचना का पालन करेर्ा।
x. केएचएस, आर्रा इस मत्रं ालय के राष्ट्रीय संस्थार्त रैंककंर् फ्रेमवकग (एनआईआरएफ) द्वारा जारी वार्षगक भारतीय रैंककंर् में भार्

आशय पत्र (एलओआई) जारी दकया।
i. सम हवश्वहवद्यालय प्रस्ताहवत ऑफ-कैंपस केंर को 1000 से अहिक छात्रों के साथ एक बहु-हवषयक सस्ं था के रूप में हवकहसत
करने िते ु एक रोडमपै प्रस्तुत करेर्ा।
ii. सम हवश्वहवद्यालय हनिागररत मानिंडों के अनुसार योवयता सहित कम स े कम पचास हशक्षकों के साथ कम से कम पांच अवर
स् नातक या स् नातकोत्तर या अनुसंिान अथवा उनके संयोजन का ब् यौरा प्रस्ततु करेर्ा।
iii. सम हवश्वहवद्यालय हर्फ्ट हसटी प्राहिकरणों द्वारा हचहन्ित भूहम पर भूहम और स्थायी पररसर के हनमागण का ब् यौरा प्रस्ततु करेर्ा।
iv. सम हवश्वहवद्यालय प्रस्ताहवत ऑफ-कैंपस केंर के हलए उनकी शैहक्षक योवयता के साथ संकायों का ब् यौरा प्रस्तुत करेर्ा।

(II) FUNCTIONS
The functions of this Samiti will be to render advice to the Ministry of Mines and its organizations/undertakings in regard
to the implementation of the various provisions relating to official Language, contained in the Constitution, Official
languages Act, Rules, decisions of the Kendriya Hindi Samiti and the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs
(Department of Official Language) in this regard.
(III) TENURE
The term of the Samiti will be normally three years from the date of its re-constitution provided that :-
(a) A Member of Parliament nominated to the Committee shall cease to be a member of the Committee as soon as he
ceased to be Member of Parliament.
(b) Ex-Officio Members of the Samiti shall continue as members as long as they hold office by virtue of which they
are Members of the samiti.
(c) If a vacancy arises in the Samiti due to resignation or death etc. of any member, the member appointed in that
capacity shall hold office for the remaining term of the committee.
(IV) GENERAL
The Headquarters of the Samiti shall be in New Delhi, but it may hold its meetings at any other station also, if so
required.
(V) TRAVELLING AND OTHER ALLOWANCES
(a) The Members of Parliament nominated in the Samiti will be paid Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance as
per the provisions in the “Members of Parliament (Salary, Allowance & Pension) Act, 1954” amendments issued
from time to time and rules made thereunder.
(b) Travelling Allowance and Daily Allowance to other non-official members of the samiti will be paid as per the
guidelines contained in the Department of Official Language, O.M. No. II/22034/04/86-O.L.(A-2) dated
22nd January 1987 and in accordance with the prescribed rates and rules as amended from time to time by the
Government of India.

was verified and accepted by UGC through its Standing Committee.
4. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of
Education, on the advice of UGC, hereby accords approval to Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka to start
an off-campus Centre at Govindapura, Gollahalli, Yelahanka, Bengaluru by taking over the above mentioned five affiliated
Colleges with the condition that the deemed to be University shall submit documentary evidence for required corpus fund of
Rs.25 Crore before admitting the students in the Bengaluru off-campus.
5. Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangalore, Karnataka shall abide by all other conditions mentioned in the earlier
Notification(s) of this Ministry as well as provisions of the Rules / Regulations of UGC and other Statutory Councils, issued
from time to time.

No. 9-5/2021-U.3(A)—Whereas, the Central Government is empowered under Section 3 of the University Grants
Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 to declare, on the advice of the UGC, an Institution of higher learning as an Institution deemed
to be University.
2. And whereas, an online application was uploaded on UGC’s Portal for conferment of Institution Deemed to be
University status under Distinct Category to Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS), Agra, Uttar Pradesh under Section 3 of the UGC
Act, 1956.
3. And whereas, UGC, vide its letter No. 43-1/2021 (CPP-I/DU) dated 15.11.2023, informed that the application was
examined through its Expert Committee in accordance with UGC (Institutions deemed to be Universities) Regulations 2023.
The Committee recommended issuing Letter of Intent (LoI) to KHS, Agra for fulfilment of certain conditions. The
recommendation of UGC Expert Committee was considered and approved by the Commission in its 574th meeting (Item No.
2.07) held on 03.11.2023.
4. And whereas, the Ministry of Education, on the advice of UGC, issued Letter of Intent (LOI) to KHS, Agra, Uttar
Pradesh for fulfilment of the certain conditions within a period of three years before declaring it as an Institution deemed to be
University.
5. And further whereas, Director, KHS, Agra, Uttar Pradesh vide his letter dated 10.12.2024, submitted compliance
report of the conditions of the LoI which was then sent to UGC for verification and its advice. UGC placed the compliance
report before the same Expert Committee which had recommended for issuance of Letter of Intent (LoI). The Expert Committee
accepted the compliance report of the Institution. The recommendation of UGC Expert Committee was considered and
approved by the Commission in its 589th meeting (Item No. 2.09) held on 03.04.2025.
6. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of Education,
on the advice of the UGC, hereby declares Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (KHS), Agra, Uttar Pradesh as an Institution deemed to
be University under distinct category. The said declaration is subject to the following conditions:—
i. There shall be no diversion of assets or funds/revenues of the Institution Deemed to be University/or of its
constituent teaching units, without prior permission of the UGC and Central Government.
ii. KHS, Agra shall not engage or indulge in any activities that are of commercial and profit making in nature.
iii. The academic programmes to be offered at KHS, Agra shall conform to the norms and standards prescribed by
the UGC and the Statutory Councils/Bodies concerned.
iv. KHS, Agra shall start new academic Courses/Programmes, Off-Campus(es), Off-Shore Campus(es) only in
accordance with the norms and guidelines issued by the UGC, from time to time, on the subject.294 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA, MAY 17, 2025 (VAISAKHA 27, 1947) [PART I—Sec.1
v. KHS, Agra shall take appropriate steps to commence research programmes as well as doctoral and innovative
academic programmes. The Institute shall not keep confined only to presently new emerging areas but make
endeavour to expand in other areas in accordance with the UGC Regulations / Guidelines as well as National
Education Policy-2020.
vi. KHS, Agra shall take all the required steps to get all the eligible academic courses/programmes rated for valid
accreditation by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the Institute to get valid accreditation by National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), as the case may be, in terms of the provisions as contained in
the UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2023, as amended from time to time.
vii. All the prescribed norms and procedures of the Statutory Councils concerned in the matter of admission of
students, intake capacity of students, renewal of approval to the academic course / programme, revision of intake
capacity of students, starting of new courses / programmes, etc. shall continue to be in force, and shall be adhered
to by KHS, Agra.
viii. KHS, Agra shall submit its revised Memorandum of Association (MoA) / Rules to UGC/ Ministry of Education
as per the provisions of the UGC (Institutions deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2023 at the earliest. As
and when necessary, the Institute shall update or revise or modify its MoA / Rules, as per the provisions of the
prevailing Regulations.
ix. KHS, Agra shall follow the fee structure as per the Rules and Regulations of the UGC and relevant Statutory
Councils.
x. KHS, Agra shall participate in annual Indian rankings issued by National Institutional Ranking Framework
(NIRF) of this Ministry.
xi. KHS, Agra shall compulsorily create Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), identities of their students and upload
their credit score in digital lockers and ensure that the credit scores are reflected in ABC Portal and adopt
Samarth e-Gov.

No. 10-2/2025-U.3(A)—Whereas, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), an Institution deemed to be University,
New Delhi had uploaded its application on UGC Portal for starting an off-campus Centre at GIFT Tower 2, (Floor 16 & 17),
GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat as per the UGC (Institutions deemed to be Universities) Regulations, 2023.
2. And whereas, UGC, vide its letter No. 19-1/2023 (CPP-I/DU) dated 02.01.2025, informed that the application was
examined through its Standing Committee. The Committee, after presentation of the Institution and based on the documents
submitted, recommended for issuance of Letter of Intent (LoI) to IIFT, New Delhi with certain conditions.
3. And whereas, the Ministry, on the advice of UGC, issued Letter of Intent (LoI) dated 21.01.2025 to IIFT, New
Delhi for fulfilment of following conditions within a period of 3 years before starting an off-campus at GIFT Tower 2, (Floor
16 & 17), GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat:—
i. The Deemed to be University shall submit a roadmap for the proposed off-campus centre to develop into a
multidisciplinary Institution with more than 1000 students.
ii. The deemed to be University shall submit details of minimum of five under-graduate or post-graduate or
research or combination thereof with a minimum of fifty teachers, with qualifications as per prescribed norms.
iii. The deemed to be University shall submit details of land and construction of permanent campus in the land
identified by the GIFT City Authorities.
iv. The deemed to be University shall submit the details of the faculties along with their educational qualification
for the proposed off-campus centre.
v. The Institution deemed to be University shall submit approval letter from the relevant regulatory
body(ies)/statutory council(s) before starting professional courses.
vi. The deemed to be University shall develop the library with adequate number of books.
4. And further whereas, the Registrar, IIFT, New Delhi, vide his letter dated 20.03.2025 submitted compliance report
in respect of fulfilment of the conditions of the LoI, which was sent to UGC for verification. UGC vide letter No. F. 19-1/2023
(CPP-I/DU) dated 17.04.2025, informed that the compliance report was accepted by its Standing Committee. The Chairman,

Nadu submitted an online application on UGC Portal to start an off-campus Centre at Amritagiri, Erachakulam (P.O.),
Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu by taking over an affiliated college namely Amrita College of Engineering &
Technology, Sun Nagar, Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu as per the UGC (Institutions Deemed to be Universities)
Regulations, 2023.
2. And whereas, UGC, vide its letter No.40-17 /2024 (CPP-l/DU) dated 20.08.2024, informed that the application was
examined through a Standing Committee. The Committee, after presentation of the Institution and based on the documents
submitted, recommended for issuance of Letter of Intent (LoI) to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed to be University),
Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu with certain conditions.
3. And whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by Clause 8 (6J of UGC Regulations, 2023, the Ministry, on the
advice of UGC, issued Letter of Intent (Lol) to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, Tamil
Nadu for fulfilment of the certain conditions within a period of 3 years before starting an off-campus at Amritagiri, Erachakulam
(P.0.), Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.
4. And further whereas, the Registrar, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed to be University), Coimbatore, Tamil
Nadu, vide his letter dated 06.09.2024, submitted compliance report in respect of fulfilment of the conditions of the LoI which
was then sent to UGC for verification and advice. UGC, vide letter No. F. 40-17/2024 (CPP-I/DU) dated 18.03.2025, conveyed
that the compliance report was accepted by the Standing Committee.
5. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of
Education, on the advice of UGC, hereby accords approval to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Deemed to be University),
Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu to start an off-campus centre by taking over an affiliated college namely Amrita College of
Engineering & Technology, Sun Nagar, Kanyakumari, Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu.

examined through a Standing Committee. The Committee, after presentation of the Institution and based on the documents
submitted, recommended for issuance of Letter of Intent (Lol) to Vel’s Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies
(VISTAS) (Deemed to be University), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu with certain conditions.
3. And whereas, the Ministry, on the advice of UGC, issued Letter of Intent (Lol) to Vel’s Institute of Science,
Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai, Tamil Nadu for fulfilment of the certain conditions within
a period of 3 years before starting an off-campus at Avanipoor, Tindivanam, Tamil Nadu.
4. And further whereas, Vel’s Institute of Science, Technology & Advanced Studies (VISTAS), Pallavaram, Chennai,
Tamil Nadu submitted compliance report, which was to UGC for verification and advice. The UGC verified the compliance
