Ms. No. 309, Agriculture (AA3), 19th October 2016.] No. SRO B-83/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to the Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Agricultural Subordinate Service (Section I in Volume III of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1970). AMENDMENT In the said Rules, in rule 2, in sub-rule (a), in the tabular column, under the heading “CLASS-II” in column (2), against the entry “Category-1, Junior Engineer (Agricultural Engineering)” in column (1) thereof, for the second proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted namely:- “Provided further that the said 25% of the reserved posts shall be filled up by following the order of rotation indicated below:- Rotation 1 Direct Recruitment Rotation 2 Promotion from the post of Agricultural Engineering Foreman Rotation 3 Promotion from the post of Assistant Soil Conservation Officer Rotation 4 Promotion from the post of Junior Draughting Officer Rotation 5 Recruitment by transfer from the post of Drill Supervisor Rotation 6 Recruitment by transfer from the post of Inspector of Hand Boring Set Grade-I Rotation 7 Recrutiment by transfer from the post of Compressor Driver”. HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE DEPARTMENT Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Medical Subordinate Service [G.O. Ms. No. 263, Health and Family Welfare (C2), 15th November 2016, äŠðC 30, ¶¡ºA, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2047.] No. SRO B-84/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Medical Subordinate Service (Section 21 in Volume. III of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1970). (2). The amendments hereby made shall come into force from 15.11.2016. AMENDMENTS In the said Special Rules, in Part-II, in BRANCH IV-GENERAL.,- (1) in rule 1, under the heading “CLASS II”, after the category “2. Radiographers, the category. 2A Radiotherapy Technician” shall be inserted;Dec. 14, 2016] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 125 (2) in rule 2, under the heading “CLASS II”, after the entry “Category 2 - Radiographers” in column (1) and the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof, the following entries shall be inserted in coumns (1) and (2) respectively, namely:- “Category 2A- “(i) By promotion from among the holders of the post of Dark Room Radiotherapy Technician Assistants; or (ii) if no qualified candidate is available by the above method, by recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (iii) If no qualified candidate is available in the above two methods, by direct recruitment.” (3) in rule 6, in the TABLE, under the heading “CLASS II”, after the entry “Category 2 Radiographer” in column (1) and the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof, the following entries shall be inserted in columns (1) and (2) respectively, namely:- “Category 2A- Must not have completed the age of 30 years.”; Radiotherapy Technician (4) in Annexure I referred to in rule 4, under the heading “CLASS II”, after the entry Category 2, Radiographers”, and the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof, the following entries shall be inserted in columns (1) and (2) respectively, namely:- “Category 2A- Director of Medical Education; or Radiotherapy Technician Director of Medical and Rural Health Services” (5) in Annexure II referred to in rule 7, under the heading “CLASS II”,- (I) for the entries in column (2), against the entry “Category 2 - Radiographer” in column (1) thereof, the following entries shall be substituted, namely:- (i) Must have passed two years Diploma course in Radio Diagnosis Technology conducted by the Board of Para Medical Education under the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu at Government Medical Institution or from any other Institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu for this purpose”. (I) after the entry “Category 2 - Radiographer” in column (1) and the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof, the following entries shall be inserted in columns (1) and (2) respectively, namely:- “Category 2A- (i) Must have passed two years Diploma course in Radiotherapy Technology Radiotherapy Technician conducted by the Board of Para Medical Education, under the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu at Government Medical Institution or from any other Institution recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu for this purpose”. (6) In rule 9, after sub-rule (2), the following sub-rule shall be added, namely:- “(3). Every person appointed to the post of Radiographer or Radiotherapy Technician by recruitment by transfer shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years.” J.RADHAKRISHNAN, Secretary to Government. DTP—III-1(b)-(49)—1126 TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE [Part III—Sec. 1(b) LAW DEPARTMENT Amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General Service [G.O. Ms. No. 500, Law (OP-III), 28th October 2016.] No. SRO B-85/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, in supersession of the rules published with the Law Department Notification No.SRO B-151/76 on pages 157 and 158 in Part III-Section 1 (b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 7th April 1976, and Notification Nos.SRO B-360/86 and B-361/86, published at pages 471 to 474 in Part III-Section 1 (b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 27th August 1986, hereby makes the following amendments to the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu General service (Section 16 in Volume II of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1969). 2. The amendments hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on the 11th February 2014. AMENDMENTS In the said Special Rules,- (1) in Part-I, after the entries relating to “Class-XII-D(1)”, the following Class and entries shall be inserted, namely:- “CLASS-XII-E Director (Tamil Translation) and Assistant Director (Tamil Translation), Official Language (Legislative) Wing, Law Department.” (2) in Part-II, after the rules relating to Class XII-D(1), the following Class and Rules shall be inserted, namely:- “CLASS-XII-E DIRECTOR (TAMIL TRANSLATION) AND ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (TAMIL TRANSLATION), OFFICIAL LANGUAGE (LEGISLATIVE) WING, LAW DEPARTMENT. 1. Constitution.-This Class shall consist of the following categories, namely:- Category 1 - Director (Tamil Translation) Category 2 - Assistant Director (Tamil Translation) 2. Appointment.- Appointment to the post in the categories specified in column (1) of the Table below shall be made by the methods specified in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof:- THE TABLE Category Method of appointment (1) (2) 1. Director (Tamil Translation) (i) By transfer from among the holders of the post of Deputy secretary to Government, Law Department; or (ii) By promotion from among the holders of the post of Assistant Director (Tamil Translation), OL(L)W or from among the holders of the post of Under Secretary to Government, Law Department; or (iii) By recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (iv) By direct recruitment for special reasons.Dec. 14, 2016] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 127 Category Method of appointment (1) (2) 2. Assistant Director (Tamil Translation) (i) By transfer from among the holders of the post of Under Secretaries to Government, Law Department; or (ii) By recruitment by transfer from among the holders of the post of Translation Officer, OL(L)W; or (iii) By promotion from among the holders of the post of Section Officer, Law Department; or (iv) By recruitment by transfer from any other service; or (v) By direct recruitment for special reasons. 3. Qualifications.- (a) Special qualification with reference to age and experience at Bar in the case of appointment to the post by direct recruitment. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment, unless he,- (i) (a) has been an advocate of the High Court of Madras for not less than four years for the post of Director (Tamil Translation) and three years for the post of Assistant Director (Tamil Translation); or (b) has been an advocate of a District Court of this State for not less than five years; (ii) has not completed or will not complete thirty-two years of age on the first day of July of the year in which the selection for appointment is made; and (iii) possesses the general qualifications specified in sub-rule(b). (b) General qualifications in the case of appointment to the posts by any of the methods specified in rule 2. No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts by any of the methods specified in rule 2 unless he possesses the following qualifications:- (i) B.L. degree (3 year course or 5 year course) or its equivalent; (ii) Experience for a period of not less than two years in preparing or settling Legislative Bills or rules or; notifications or Orders; or Experience for a period of not less than three years in translation of Acts, Rules, Deeds or Agreements from English to Tamil; and (iii) Proficiency in Tamil. 4. Appointing Authority.-The appointing authority for the post in the categories shall be the Government. 5. Probation.-Every person appointed to the post in the categories by direct recruitment shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years:- Provided that every person appointed to a category by recruitment by transfer shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. 6.
