UNIVERSITY AUTHORITIES MANONMANIAM SUNDARANAR UNIVERSITY TIRUNELVELI A Nominee by the Members of the Senate to the Search Committee for the Appointment of The Vice-Chancellor. (Ref: MSU/R/M&E/VCPANEL/SENATE/ELECT/2025) No.VI - 3(b)/9/2025. It is hereby notified, by direction, that an election will be held for nominating a person by the Senate of the University to serve on the Search Committee of three persons who are to recommend a panel of three names to the Government for the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor under Section 11(1)&(2) of the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Act, 1990 as amended in Tamil Nadu Universities law (Amendment) ordinances 2017 published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 27.05.2017. The election will be held in accordance with rules and procedures as per the the Statutes of this University. Each member of the Senate shall have a right to nominate not more than one person who is not a member of any of the authorities of the University to the Search Committee. Every nomination shall be in writing signed by the proposer who shall be a member of the Senate and seconded in writing by another member of the Senate called the seconder in the prescribed form. The nomination paper and declaration paper may be downloaded from this University website. No nomination shall be valid unless it contains the signatures of both the proposer and the seconder and the nomination form shall also be signed by the person proposed expressing his/ her consent to be nominated. Every nomination must be presented before the Registrar either by the proposer or by the seconder or by the person proposed, before 3.00 p.m. on Friday, the 20th June 2025. The scrutiny of nomination will take place at 3.30 p.m. on the same day at the office of the Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Abishekapatti, Tirunelveli - 627 012.
