(MRVC) has achieved a significant milestone in the ongoing Station Improvement Works at Vasai Road Station under the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP–3A). A newly constructed Foot Over Bridge (FOB), measuring 6 metres in width and 42 metres in length, connecting the east circulating area with island platforms 4–5 and 6–7, along with staircases on the east side, has been completed and commissioned today. In addition, a 50-metre long and 10-metre wide elevated deck (part of a planned 250 × 10 metre deck) connecting the newly constructed FOB has also been commissioned. Earlier, a 60 × 10 metre portion of this deck was commissioned in December 2025. These facilities are expected to substantially improve passenger circulation and ease congestion at this high-footfall suburban station.
